Good morning from the shores of Gouldsboro Bay, where restaurants are busy, the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor is doing a brisk business, and cars and bicyclists are breezing along the scenic road in Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula.


In the news, Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor is ahead of schedule in meeting its schedule of summer housing for park employees. The Bar Harbor Town Council has extended its moratorium on hotel development.


And the country’s oldest lobster processor — which opened in 1980 in Portland — is in bankruptcy and hoping to reorganize and sell to a new owner.
