Dear Maine Monitor Reader,

Our mission is simple: to serve our state with high-quality, unbiased news that gets Mainers the information they need about the issues impacting their lives.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, every donation, large and small, plays an essential role in helping us deliver our original fact-based Maine Monitor news that empowers Mainers to be engaged in the welfare of their town and state.

Right now, during our Year-End Fundraising Drive, we need to raise $200,000 before December 31 to power our newsroom into 2026.

To kick-off, board director and long-time supporters Doug Warren and Pam Berry will match every dollar raised for the next 3 days, up to a total of $10,000. With your help, we can meet this goal.

With sincere gratitude,

Micaela Schweitzer-Bluhm, Executive Director

Daniella Diaz, a reporter for NOTUS, spoke with News Center Maine this morning about how the government shutdown and how although Sens. Collins and King caucus with different parties, they're unified on the shutdown. The Maine Monitor recently partnered with NOTUS on coverage of Maine's congressional delegation.
