Good morning:

We are fully in election season, with less than one month to go before the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. So you won’t be surprised to see our full slate of stories this week about the platforms of the candidates running for governor. We’ve got pieces about where they stand on climate goals, how they’d address the housing shortage, steps they’d take to turn around declining test scores, and how they’d tackle the most pressing issues in health care. If you’d like to watch their full interviews with reporter Matt Junker, we have that, too.

All of this work is part of our extensive voter guide, which we hope you’ll explore. You can plug in your address to see who’s on your local ballot. You can see who’s contributing the most to different campaigns and where the campaigns are spending their money. You can learn about ranked choice voting. The voter guide is also where we’ll post any election-related story, such as this recent piece about a candidate for governor not releasing his full personal financial statement.

If you have a question about the election or an idea for a story, please let us know here.

Thanks, as always, for reading.
