Welcome to the weekend! Lately this has meant two things: that you're reading the Western Maine Monitor (thank you) and that it's probably been raining.


That's because our last dry weekend was late March. That's fast approaching three months-worth of rained-on Saturday plans, thanks to a weather pattern that has been running storm systems every few days across New England.


That may end this weekend, with only a low chance of rain Saturday morning, pleasant temperatures and some nice sun. My garden will be nearly as happy as me.
